About Me
Vanessa Kline, LICSW,LCSW
Hi, I’m so glad you made it here today. Here’s a little about me.
My first job as a therapist was working with domestic violence victims and their children. I was inspired by their strength and will to survive, and the bravery they showed in sharing their stories.
In today's world, where most of our feelings are judged somehow, it's a revolutionary act to allow yourself to feel your emotions, let alone talk about them.
I know what it’s like to come back from hard parenting days (I have four kids!), days where you just don’t have it in you, and days where you feel like a cloud is hanging over you. I don’t claim to have it all figured out, but I strive every day to do just a little bit better, just like you.
When people are suffering, they don’t need shame for being human. They need acceptance, kindness, patience, and compassion. These are the values I bring to my work as a therapist.
I look forward to learning more about you and what has brought you here. I am humbled by your invitation to allow me to accompany you on your journey.
More About Me
I have a BA in Intercultural Communications from Pepperdine University and a Masters of Social Work degree from San Diego State University
I’m half Puerto Rican and have a love of both the East and West Coasts, thus Dos Costas.
I want to make counseling as accessible as possible, so I provide services by means of video, phone, and text messaging.
