Therapy for California and Massachusetts Residents

California Clients

I am providing teletherapy (online video, phone, and text sessions) exclusively but will transition back to my physical office in Encinitas after COVID has passed. You will have the option to continue doing our sessions virtually or in person.

Massachusetts Clients

I offer teletherapy (online video, phone, and text sessions) only. Video sessions are conducted through a secure video platform that keeps our conversations confidential. You can also find me on the Alma platform: https://secure.helloalma.com/providers/vanessa-kline/

My Best-Fit Clients

I generally work with women who are college-aged into their 40s dealing with the transition to adulthood and may involve managing anxiety, depression, and stress related to identity formation, school, work, family, relationships, parenting, losses, and life transitions. If you're not sure if your presenting concern is within my scope of practice just ask!

 

What to Expect

During our first appointment, we will discuss your needs, desires, and goals for therapy. We’ll make sure I’m a good fit for you. We will also determine if my availability coincides with yours.

During subsequent sessions, we will continue the process of getting to know one another and tackle the concerns that brought you in.

 

Services

I offer individual therapy. I provide video, telephone, and in person counseling. All services are appointment-based. We will decide on a time to meet, and this appointment will be held for you ongoing, either weekly, every other week, or monthly. Together, we will determine the clinically appropriate frequency of sessions.

In-person sessions will be offered at my Encinitas, CA office after COVID passes.

 

Fees & Insurance

50 minute sessions - $110

In- Network Medi-Cal Insurance

In-Network Aetna, Optum for Massachusetts

I want therapy to be accessible to all, Sliding scale fees are available just let me know and we can discuss options to make therapy afforable for your unique situation.Payment is due at the time of service. Credit cards are kept securely on file. Documentation for out-of-network benefits is available upon request.

 

Between-Session Support

My practice is not equipped to provide support between our scheduled sessions. If you are having a mental health crisis, please call 911 or your local crisis center. I will respond to emails within 48 hours.
